RAWALPINDI: Police on Wednesday busted an inter-provincial gang of dacoits and nabbed its 15 members involved in robberies in various cities.
According to a spokesperson, police teams under the supervision of RA Bazaar SHO Yasir Rabbani were constituted to ensure arrest of criminals involved in various cash-snatching incidents outside banks.
Police also recovered Rs 1.2 million cash, weapons and ammunition from their possession. During preliminary investigation, they confessed to various crimes committed in different cities.
These robbers have already remained jailbirds and used to snatch cash from people coming out from banks, the spokesperson said. Police have registered a case against them while further investigation is underway, he added.
