KARACHI: The Sindh government on Saturday lifted the ban imposed on pillion riding in the metropolis from 8th to 10th Muharram-ul-Haram.
Earlier, the Sindh government imposed the ban in some parts of the province a part of security plan on Youm-e-Ashura.
Routes to the processions were blocked by using containers. The blocked roads were also reopened on Saturday morning.

Moreover, mobile phone services, which were partially suspended from 7 am till midnight across the country, including Karachi, Lahore, and Peshawar, have also been restored now.
On Youm-e-Ashura, strict security measures were taken by deploying the police and paramilitary forces on the routes of processions across the country.
